Utah Human Race 2017

DosLoCos

392,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 8 Utahns, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 6 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from.

We are participating in Utah Food Bank’s 12th annual Utah Human Race on Thanksgiving Day because we feel that no child should have to go to bed hungry in Utah, especially on Thanksgiving.

It’s family-friendly and costumes are even encouraged! People of all ages and abilities can participate in a variety of ways, so there’s no excuse not to! Join us in Draper on Thanksgiving morning (11/23) to make some room for that extra slice of pumpkin pie.

The Donnelly-Cobourn and Lower families are raising money to ensure every Utahn never has to guess where their next meal is coming from.

Thank you!

Founded in 1904, Utah Food Bank has operated under various names but has always remained true to their mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide. 392,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 8 Utahns, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 6 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from. Last year, they distributed over 38.1 million pounds of food, the equivalent of over 31.8 million meals, to people facing hunger across the state. Utah Food Bank can stretch each $1 donated into $7.81 worth of goods and services. To find out more about donating food, time or money, please visit http://www.utahfoodbank.org.
