Utah Human Race 2017

University of Utah Health

Dear University of Utah Health team,

Each year, University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics employees and their families support the Utah Food Bank in an effort to fight hunger in Utah. Your participation has shown great care for our community and made a significant contribution to those in need.

This year's annual U of U Health food drive will start on November 13th, but in the meantime I would like to invite you to support the Food Bank by registering for the Utah Human Race. The race will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, in Draper. Join our U of U Health team online and receive one of our U of U Health team running shirts with a new design this year! All proceeds U of U Health proceeds of this race will be contributed to the food drive.

Thank you,

Katelyn Thompson

Founded in 1904, Utah Food Bank has operated under various names but has always remained true to their mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide. 417,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 7 Utahns, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 5 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from. Last year, they distributed over 38.1 million pounds of food, the equivalent of over 31.8 million meals, to people facing hunger across the state. Utah Food Bank can stretch each $1 donated into $7.81 worth of goods and services. To find out more about donating food, time or money, please visit http://www.utahfoodbank.org.
